CLAREMONT COMMUNITY FOUNDATION: The Claremont Community Foundation is located at 205 Yale Ave., Hours: Monday through Friday, 9-5 p.m. Information: 398-1060.

CLAREMONT MUSEUM OF ART: The museum and store are both open Tuesday-Sunday, closed on Monday. Hours are Tuesday –Sunday 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. The museum store is open from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. The museum and store are open until 8:30 p.m. on First Fridays.  The museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.  Admission: $3 for adults, free for under 18. PETTERSON MUSEUM OF INTERCULTURAL ART: The Museum contains a collection of international fine art, folk art and material culture from 10.000 B.C. to the present contributed by Pilgrim Place residents and community friends and covering every continent. Museum hours: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. The museum is located at 730 Plymouth Road, Pilgrim Place. Information: 399-5544.

—Through May 17, 2008: “James Turrell at Pomona College” presents the work of the internationally acclaimed light and space artist. This exhibition in the Museum complements the new Pomona College Skyspace. This exhibition will close for good on May 17th at 5 p.m.

RANCHO SANTA ANA BOTANIC GARDEN: The 86-acre native California plant garden is located at 1500 N. College Ave. Hours: 8-5 p.m. daily. Suggested donation: $4 per person; $8 per family. The California Garden Shop is open daily from 9-5 p.m. Information: 625-8767.

—Through May 18: 2008 Scripps Senior Art Show. Senior studio art majors create a final project that is the culminating work of their study of art at Scripps. An opening reception will be held on Friday, May 2, 7-9 p.m.
