AMERICAN MUSEUM OF CERAMIC ART: Location: 340 S. Garey Ave., Pomona. Hours: Wednesday-Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. and second Saturdays of the month, noon to 9 p.m. or by appt.  The museum focuses on ceramic art, that pairs contemporary and historic ceramic art to demonstrate past influences. —Saturday, October 10: AMOCA á la Mode Fundraiser.  A benefit sale of mugs and bowls will be held in AMOCA’s Paseo (just behind the museum). Time: 12-9 p.m.

—Through January 9: Harrison McIntosh: A Timeless Legacy. Harrison McIntosh is one of the best-known ceramic artists of the Pomona Valley and leader in the post-World War II Southern California crafts movement.

—Through October 31: “Hello Chimera” features the luminous and genetically altered animal figures of ceramic artist Molly Schulps.

—Through October 31: “Clay Street” features the ceramic social artifacts of Gerardo Monterrubio exposing the various aesthetics and philosophies of Los Angeles street culture.

MALOOF FOUNDATION FOR ARTS & CRAFTS: Location: 5131 Carnelian St., Alta Loma. Hours; The garden is open Thursdays and Saturdays, noon to 4 p.m.  This hand-built historic residence is situated within a 6-acre public garden and includes Maloof’s handcrafted furniture, an American Indian collection, wood-turned bowls, sculpture and paintings gathers over 50 years.
