Helen C. Walser

After a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease, former Claremont resident and business owner Helen C. Walser died on June 19, 2009. 

Ms. Walser was born on July 21, 1915 in Los Angeles to Mary and Ray Ingils. 

She and her husband, Sam C. Walser, owned and operated Acme Cleaners on Yale Avenue for 29 years.  The family still owns the property. 

Mr. Walser died in 1971 and, since 1974, Ms. Walser resided in Solana Beach.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Chet and Janet Ingils; her daughter, Susan; her granddaughters Jill and Karen; and her great-grandsons, Brenden, Elias, Solomon and Jonah. 

She will be interred in the Pomona Valley Cemetery.
