Allen—Petersen

Michele Allen of Claremont and Kristofer Petersen of Santa Monica have announced their engagement. The couple met in seventh grade while attending El Roble Intermediate School.

Ms. Allen, the daughter of Dr. Robert and Michele Allen of Claremont, earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern California and recently completed nursing school. A dolphin trainer for 6 years, she will soon begin a new career as a neonatal intensive care unit nurse at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

Mr. Petersen, the son of Anne Marie Petersen of Claremont, earned a bachelor’s degree in film from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He worked in film and television for a decade and currently works in commercial real estate.

The couple plans to be married on June 7, 2008 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Alhambra.
