Medina—Jaeger

Cruz Medina, the son of former Claremont resident Debra McLaughlin and the late Julian Medina, has announced his engagement to Kathryn Jaeger of Quail Valley, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Jaeger of Quail Valley.

Mr. Medina graduated from Claremont High School in 1997, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2001 and looks forward to completing his master’s degree in English and creative writing at Chapman University in Orange this spring. Currently applying to PhD programs, Mr. Medina started a small press and released his first novel, Confessions of a Pretty Boy, this year: www.confessionsofaprettyboy.com.

Ms. Jaeger also graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2001 and will complete her MBA at the University of California, Irvine this spring.

The couple met through friends while living in San Diego and currently reside in Orange County. A wedding date is yet to be determined.
