On a clear—hot—day

There's nothing like those Santa Ana winds bringing in warmer weather and clear skies to the Southland. And you can see for miles looking south from Potato Mountain, just north of Mt. Baldy Road. But heat is in the forecast on Monday as daytime temperatures reached over 90 degrees. The warm weather will not last long however, as the warm winds will subside bringing more normal temperatures with highs in the upper 70s. Yet the mornings will still feel brisk, reaching only the low 50s. There's not much rain in the forecast, other than a chance on Friday during the day. Otherwise we have stable, normal temperatures for the next couple of weeks. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
