Hendricks Pharmacy burglarized for second time in a week
Hendricks Pharmacy once again fell victim to burglars, the second such incident within a week.
Claremont police responded to the Village pharmacy at about 4:47 a.m. on July 5 after the alarm went off at the business, police said. Once there, officers found a shattered front window, and they determined a burglary had just occurred. The suspects fled before police arrived, and no witnesses were located, police said.
Surveillance footage from the scene showed the two suspects smashing the window at 4:44 a.m., entering the business, walking into an office area and rummaging through the desk and surrounding shelves.
The burglars then flee the area undetected. So far, one bottle of promethazine was taken, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.
Police described the first suspect as an African-American man, five feet, seven inches tall and 150 pounds, around 30-35 years old wearing a white colored shirt, dark colored pants with a stripe on the side and a white-colored baseball style cap.
The second suspect was described as a heavyset African-American man wearing a dark-colored shirt and shorts.
This is the second burglary at Hendricks in as many weeks. On July 1, an unknown suspect pried open a glass pane on the front door and stole lottery tickets.
