King Celebration brings highly regarded speaker to School of Theology
Dr. Walter E. Fluker, Martin Luther King, Jr. Professor of Ethical Leadership, at Boston University School of Theology and editor of the Howard Thurman Papers Project, the 2013 Martin Luther King, Jr. lecturer at Claremont School of Theology. This year marks the 35th anniversary of this annual event. The lecture by the renowned speaker and author is scheduled for Wednesday, February 6 at 4 p.m. in Mudd Theater.
Later that evening, the annual MLK dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Haddon Conference Center. Tickets for the dinner are $30, and advanced reservations are required. To reserve, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Monalisa Siofele at 447-6335.
This year’s King Celebration begins Tuesday, February 5, with a special worship service in Kresge Chapel at 4 p.m. led by Rev. Dr. Kathey Michelle Wilborn, CST alumna and district superintendent of the west district of the California-Pacific Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. There will be a reception following the worship service.
