Village Dance Arts will perform "Around the World in a Day," taking inspiration from stories and dance from several different countries. The 55th annual Mt. Baldy Steak Fry is set for Saturday, June 23 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Baldy Trout Ponds. The annual event, which includes live music, food, beer and a raffle, is organized to raise funds for the Mt. Baldy Fire Department. Candlelight Pavilion dinner theater is currently showing The Music Man through July 22. Meredith Willson’s The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize—despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian.
