The 55th annual Mt. Baldy Steak Fry is set for Saturday, June 23 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Baldy Trout Ponds. The annual event, which includes live music, food, beer and a raffle, is organized to raise funds for the Mt. Baldy Fire Department. The Kid's Summer Reading Program kicks-off Wednesday, June 20 featuring “Sleeping Beauty in Outer Space,” an interactive puppet show by Moodoo Puppet Productions. In the Teen Summer Reading Program, youths in grades 6 through 12 are offered the opportunity to participate in the summer reading program, with a chance of winning a Kindle Fire and other prizes.
