LIVING NATIVITY A walk-through tour of 10 different live-action stages, sharing the story of the events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ. SPARK OF LOVE TOY DRIVE KGNH and The Garcia Family (Little Hands Helping Others) will be hosting and managing the annual toy drive at LA County Fire Station 102 at 2040 N. Sumner Ave., Claremont. Bring a new toy to help local low-income children. Last year, they served 400 kids. The toy ambassadors are 2013 local Kid Hero Axel Garcia and Betty Crocker. MESSIAH SING-ALONG The Claremont Symphony Orchestra continues its long tradition of offering the community a chance to sing the majestic choruses of Handel's The Messiah. The concert will be presented twice on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 and 4 p.m. Dr. Robert Sage will lead the orchestra and the four soloists, Cynthia Snyder, Soprano; Danielle Marcelle Bond, Mezzo Soprano; Steven Moritsugu, Tenor; and Philip Nash, Bass. The audience will follow Dr. Sage's baton in singing the choruses. The doors will open 30 minutes before each concert. This is a very popular community event so it's advisable to arrive early. TAI CHI The low-impact exercise safe for all adults, Tai Chi increases strength and flexibility, reduces stress and improves balance, and has been shown to lower blood pressure and increase bone density. Taught in the Wu-style of Tai Chi, every class involves warm up, proper and safe instruction of each movement and the progressive movement through the form's stages. Classes are held indoors and outdoors depending on weather conditions; wear comfortable attire and shoes with flat soles, bring a bottle of water. No experience necessary, all are welcome to attend.
