BIOCHAR DEMONSTRATION The Tree Action Group (TAG) of Sustainable Claremont, together with RSABG, is hosting a biochar demonstration as part of an International Biochar Initiative. Learn how biochar sequesters carbon from trees, reduces the need to water them and increases soil fertility to make trees healthier. See displays of biochar products available to use as a soil amendment and demonstrations of how to produce biochar using kilns of various sizes. Presented by Michael Wittman of Bluesky Biochar. FREE WORSHOPS Class one: Learn how to use a laser cutter to cut, etch and engrave designs in a variety of materials up to 20"x12" and up to 1/4" thick. Work with acrylic, wood, paper, cardboard, fabric and leather. The class project is to make a custom wood ornament from 9 a.m. to noon.
