Bridges to host political comedian Bill Maher

Emmy-nominated political comedian Bill Maher will take to the Bridges Auditorium stage on Sunday, May 12 at 8 p.m. Tickets to see Mr. Maher, who has been dubbed “one of the establishment’s most entertaining critics” by the New York Times, are on sale and range from $50.25 to $70.25.

Mr. Maher is the host of the HBO series “Real Time” and before that hosted the late-night talk show “Politically Incorrect.” He is the author of 4 best-selling books, including The New Rules: A Funny Look at How Everbody But Me Has Their Head Up Their Ass (2012).

He is also the creator of the 2008 documentary “Religulous,” a regular commentator on CNN and MSNBC and the star of stand-up specials such “Bill Maher: But I’m Not Wrong” (2010).  Mr. Maher has nabbed 23 Emmy nominations over the years and describes himself as a libertarian, a progressive and “a sane person.”
