The battle over Claremont’s water and increasing rates is surfacing once again.
The city of Claremont is seeking intervener party status in Golden State Water’s General Rate Case after the water company filed an application requesting an increase in revenue from rates of $18,968,600 or 5.83 percent over the three-year period of 2016-2018. As an intervener, the city may participate in rate case proceedings and represent its constituents including residents, businesses and educational institutions, all of which depend on Golden State Water for water service. Check out the actual documents filed by the city and Golden State water at the end of the story inside.
