Longtime Claremont resident Carol D. Wood died August 27, surrounded by her family. She was 67.

Ms. Wood was born September 8, 1949. She taught in the Pomona Unified School District for more than 20 years. She opened her heart to those who needed love, her family shared, and was a loving wife to husband Daniel Wood and mother to her children, Danny and Joy, and grandmother to William.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 9 at Vineyard Community Church, 2801 N. Towne Ave., Pomona.
